You didn't say how big the gates are going to be. But this is an easy and cheap way to tension the gate frame to avoid the enevitable sag. From the upper hinge side to the opposing lower corner of the frame, install 1/4" eye bolts at the interior corners. Get a 6-8" turnbuckle for each gate (hook end is easiest) and some 3/16 aircraft cable with 4 clamps per gate. Extend the turnbuckle fully, and connect the cable to the lower eye with two clamps and then to the turnbuckle connected to the upper eye. Yank like hell and clamp off the cable with the other two clamps. Tension the cable to level the gate. Over time, you'll be able to tighten the turnbuckle as needed to keep the gate level, as the cable over time will stretch a bit and the wood will wear to the elements. Should set you back about $30 bucks.
