1/2 to full closed cooling

I ended up with a Mercruiser 5.7 Mag MPI (0M616759) 300 hours with
factory closed 1/2 cooling system. Manifolds not cooled, block only.

Being 7 years old i suspect that the exhaust system will need replacement
soon. When replacing exhaust i would prefer to include them in the
closed cooling system.

I suspect that the original exchanger wont be sufficient for this. Can
you give me advise on what i can do with my current setup?
Will it take a new cooling system with bigger exchanger?

What options do i have?

Looks to me like you already have a full system. Hard to tell in that picture, as you can't see the heat exchanger where the hoses hook up due to the cover, and can't really see where the hoses hook to the manifolds.

The system is 1/2 closed cooling. Probably looks like full because of the new style exhaust where cooling is not passing the gaskets anymore.

The boat is stated to have 1/2 closed cooling, exhaust system not included.

Havent received boat yet, but could hope that they're wrong and its a full system.

Seems like the "problem" solved itself.
I have been in contact with Perfprotech and they said that the 03 engine model on the picture only came with full closed cooling not 1/2.
