Hi all,
Owned my 4.3 mercruiser since purchased new in 1996. I have always stored in attached garage and in Texas climate never needed to winterize. Fixing to move to middle of Texas and going to have to store in covered storage, but no heat.

When I first purchased boat, I was shown two plugs to unscrew on each riser. Will just taking these out be sufficient in freezing conditions? The outdrive will be stored in tilt down position.

Thanks, I know this topic has been discussed numerous times, just need a second opinion for my conscience.

Nope,... Not even Close....

Your answers are Right Here...

At a bare Minimum, you need to Drain the 2 block drains, 1 each side of the block, down low, about center...
The drains on Each manifold,...
And,..
The Big Hose on the circulating waterpump, 'n the P/S Cooler, if so equipped...

Thanks Bond-o. I read the sticky, but this helps simplify.
