Hi all. Does anyone happen to know the size of a the black, rubber, o-ring gasket which goes between the glass bowl and the underside of the carb on an old QD 10 hp motor. I looked in my manual, but couldn't find a size for it. If I can't find a replacement can I make a new one some how? I still have my current one and it's in OK shape, but it is leaking a tiny bit of gas. I was thinking I could use the old one as a template and possibly cut a new one out of gasket material, or something. Thanks.

The original was a flat rubber washer. I replace them with an o-ring. I don't know the size without going out to the shop to measure it----but you can do that too.

I would just put the bowl hole down on some gasket material and draw a circle around it and then cut it out and the inner hole also. Should work fine. An O ring also is a good idea. I have dozens of the old engines but actually have never had to replace one of those gaskets tho, but I cant imagine it'd be hard..

I just used an o-ring on my `55 -7.5 carb to glass bowl as F-R stated. This is the size i used: 1-1/8-15/16-3/32 I haven`t tried to see if sealed yet but it fit perfectly in the base of the carb.
