steering pull 85 mercruiser alpha

have a 21 ft starcraft with a mercruiser alpha 1 with manual steering.<br />when you throttle up it pulls to the right. pulls to the left when throttling down.<br />any ideas why it does this?<br />Thanks

It is because of prop torque.<br /><br />You may be able to lessen it by adjusting the trim tab.<br /><br />The trim tab is the tab hanging down just above the propeller. Adjust the trailing edge of it in the direction of the pull.
