paint question?

hello is time to work on the boat again, here is what will be done: I will remove the ugly rub rail from the boat for replacement with a new one and I would like to do some paint on the boat above the water line, what kind of paint you guys recomend will be better to spray or use the roller, the marine paint is like the one on vehicles after is done need clear or not? thanks ...

I recommend marine paint applied wiith a roller and tipped off with a brush. The marine paint systems I have seen that are designed for DIY painting do not require clear coating. You can go to the link below to do some research on applying marine paints.

Do you just want to Change the color..or is it damaged beyond repair ?

Nice boat..

Why do you want to paint it ? looks clean to me :) .. changing colors ?

If you do end up painting it.. we all know my personal recommendation.. AwlCraft 2000 .. or Imron.

You can Base Coat Clear coat like the autos..but Marine paint does not require clear ( thank god ).
