Thompson Sea Rage hull design ?

Just bought boat that I can't say I've every seen a deep V with this kind of bottom ? It is a 1987 Thompson 196 Sea Rage and there doesent seem to be very much information on the internet about it and I have had it out twice on local lakes but bought to use on Lake Erie for the deeper interior . Any links or factual info would be greatly enlightning

Not a Sea Coaster Hull but kinda looks like a design from C. Mosely . Must be odd not much info or replies .I cant wait to take out on Erie to sea how she does. I always find rare things that didn't sell in volumes and disapeared shortly . It was listed as a Day Cruiser and with a name as a Sea Rage brought out the best in wife
as I said it was a fishing boat . She called it a babe magnet I'm 54 years young and calling her a Sea Nage or a Sea Hage that is the Boat not her !

Ment to say model is Sea Rage not name of Boat but i have thought about wife from this purchase when I name her.

I have another question about this hulls duel pinstriping waterline given, upper one for color scheme or loaded water line ?

Hi, It is a winner boats design. Thompson boats bought the assets of the winner boat co in the late 70's. They then made both models for several years, If you look at a winner cougar and this model you will see they are almost identical. The hull design is called quadralift, it works great but is not the smoothest riding hull design. I've had several of them.The stripes on my 78 winner was a single line, the thompson line was double

Thanks for info seems like history and I keep repeating in life . First boating was in a Winner , first pleasure ski boat owned Woodson , first Lake Erie adventure was in Thompson , First boat I felt would serve my purposes well was a Thompson and they all seem related .

Just was wondering I see this is an old post, I have the same Boat mine is Black ,, Does yours have the cutty cabin as well?
