For a shock treatement on a carboned up motor- 2 or 4 stroke - is to mix a separate tank with fuel and Ring Free at 2 oz. per gallon. Run the motor at all speeds, it works best on several runs with overnights to let it soak into the carbon. On 4 strokes, you have to change the oil after doing the shock treatment.
There is also Yamaha Combustion Cleaner which is sprayed into the intakes as the motor is running. Always follow the directions on the package. IF a certain recommended amount is good - more is not always better and could be detrimental.
