Help with tough steering on 95' 200 Johnson

I have a 95' model Stratos 201FS with very tough steering. I greased the steering cable zerks fittins, but not much better. Any ideas??? Also, if the cables need to be replaced, where can I find them at the best possible price? Thanks in advance.

there is a couple of simple things you need to do first, disconnect the steering arm at the cable end and make sure the motor turns freely by hand, you need to be sure it is the steering and not the motor, if it does, then a new cable is in order, pulling it to bits and so on will be a very temporary fix at best, the size is usually marked near the end at the motor.
