hi, i have a 496 ho mercruiser 2007 and have a broken lead from the coil pack to the spark plug. what can i use to replace it as the dealer cannot get one soon and i need it going, cheers
I've never seen your motor's igntion, but I'd Guess a length of quality hi-tension cable from an auto parts store would get 'er Runnin'....

Or if you would like to try to buy a good used set of take off wires, Then this place may still have some that he sales pretty cheap for the 8.1l engine, It's worth a call.
P.S I have read the 8.1 auto engine wires are not the same length as the marine wires and they do not fit all that well on the engine to use safely for a long period of time.
Yeah what's up with that! I just took a quick browse through Summit Racing and the MOST expensive universal kit in 10.5mm ceramic was $150.00. What the 'ell are Merc wires made of???
