I'm using a tiller extention on a 7.5 Mercury outboard but shifting is a pain. Has anyone ever mounted a shift handle to their tiller extention and if so how did you do it? Is there a kit?
Ed, There used to be a tiller extension with a cable and clamp to atach to the shift arm. One could shift the motor forward by pulling the tiller extension toward him. Speed control was by twisting the extension.
