Correct lifting ring for '72 Merc 800?

Will this work on my 1972 Mercury 80hp outboard? (link removed)

The price is right...but I fear the part is wrong for a '72.

Thanks for any insight. The seller does not provide very much info so it is difficult to tell if it would work.

Yep, looks like the right one. I have the same type. For a few bucks more you can get a combo lifting ring / flywheel puller.

I will probably realize that I need the puller as well a few minutes after using the lift ring:p:D

Planning on doing the carbs on the Merc this winter, this won't be my last post in the Merc forum I can promise you that.:)
