lower unit oil leak

have 150hp johnson outboard. 1983. checked oil in lower unit finding water in oil. can any one tell me what seals need to be replaced or take it to shop?

I'd first check the seals/washers on the drain and vent bolts. They're the most likely culprits. Next check the propshaft and see if there is fishing line wrapped around compromising the seal.

Pressure and vacuum test the LU. Submerge under water to tell where the leak(s) is. Possibilities: prop shaft seas, drive shaft seal, shifrt rod seal, drain/fill screws seals or a crack in the casting.

Procedure covered in detail in the oEM shop manual.
