Don't think I've ever seen a "kit" but, you can get the parts individually if you want to. You'll need, the extension piece itself, a driveshaft, a copper tubing for the impeller, and a shift rod extension. Get ready, the shift rod extension and the copper tubing aren't to expensive, but, the driveshaft is very expensive (200-250)! Maybe you can look at the "Salvage Yards" in the Top Secret File (at the top of this page) and find a quality used one for half the money.

The cost to do it to that older motor isn't really worth it. Sell the motor and buy a nicer long shaft that would cost you less then fixing the old one.

Bah, used kits come up on ebay all the time for $100 or so.

I have an XL shaft full setup in the trunk of my car but it's 10 inch, not 5 like you want.

So I'm watching CL for a motor, or Evil bay for a kit.

I'm leaning toward a whole motor. I really need a bigger one anyway.
