I'm looking at a Starcraft locally. The tag said jet 15, or jet 15.5....I don't remember if it said jetstar or just jet. Anyhow....
One of the things I'd like to do is convert it to tiller. For many reasons, but mostly because I lost my father this spring, just sold my current boat, and would like to build one in tribute to the boat my dad built when I was a kid. The best times of my life were fishing with my dad and my brother.
Anyhow, I'm wondering what are the best ways to reduce the length of the splashwell without removing any structural strength.
FWIW I would trim back the bow section for a fishing deck. Appropriately that is what my dad did with the boat he built for us when we were kids.
