Re: battery charger question

First -- do you understand that an on-board charger needs to be plugged into AC power so having power available at the dock is required. The type of charger you need depends on how many batteries do you have? You need one output for each battery. If you only have one battery a 5 or 6 amp single output (single bank) charger is all you need. If you have a trolling motor or a deep cycle battery in addition to the starting battery you will need a two bank charger. There are lots of names to pick from. Guest and Pro-Mariner have been on my boats with more Guests than Pro-Mariners.
