hi i have a 1970 model 200 20hp i need a starter or if someone could help me find a feliable place to sent it, my understanding is that a started for this engine came without a starter in 1970 but it was a dealer option its a needle in a hay stack lol:D

Any electric motor, starter, alternator shop in your town should be able to rebuild it.

I have a 200 without a starter but the bracket is in there. I use the pull start. Keep it simple. no battery, no weight, no worries.

there are mercury restoration and collectors sites; some guy in Arkansas has all the parts. I have lost my shotrcuts/links.
