I tried to replace the solenoid on my 88 force engine and thought it would be simple. It was cold so i was in a hurry. i took it out and put the other one in and now i am not sure which side the 3 small wires go on. any help would be appreciated so i do not have to guess and make a mistake.

It is basically a simple switch when the ground and the nuetral safty switch connect they complete a circuit This connects the two larger lugs for the batery and starter. I really don't think it matter which way you you install it. I am surprised the are no markings underneath the soleniod telling you when the wires go. Heres a picture of mine for reference. Hope this helps.
