HI I'm new here, so hope I'm doing this right. I just aquired a 1972 Evinrude 25 w/electric start. The engine ID plate says S/N 25252R EO3399. Problem is some missing parts that I can't find in the evinrude parts book. On the lower front of the motor next to the choke knob is an empty hole. Behind this hole is a junction block for starter connections. Apparently there is supposed to be a starter switch or button there. Any help finding the parts I need will be greatly appreciated.

You can buy a simple push button switch from your local hardware store or right here on iBoats.

That "junction block" is a plug for the wiring harness that is supposed to plug in there. That goes forward for the igniton and choke switches that are supposed to be mounted on the dash.

If you want to do away with that forward control feature, you will have to do some re-wiring. There was an adapter plate for the hole for mounting a push button, but you will have to do a bit of searching other parts lists to find it.
