Need advice on Carolina Skiff Purchase

I'm in the market to purchase a new boat and have been leaning towards a Carolina Skiff DLV. I've heard some people complain that water comes in the back and the ride can often be wet on calm water. Does anyone have any experience with this? The boat will be used primarily in the bay for fishing.
Thanks!

I don't know first hand, but it looks enough like a Boston Whaler and a McKee Craft, that I'd expect it to be a darn good boat. Hopefully you can get some first hand opinions from owners of this boat or get some reviews on this boat from their web site? Good looking boat, to me anyway!

good boat.
what bay? what length? what motor?

Go down to the docks and ask other owners what they think.

Every boat has trade off's; a flat bottom is more stable but can be bumpy riding. Is that a deal breaker? no. merely a trade off.

As for being wet, some of the hulls throw water out front that sprays back. Your trim can solve or at least reduce this. Water over the transom? practice your stopping.

most times the water on the deck is cause the operator fails to place the plugs in the self bailing drain holes.
take them out when the boat is unattended and place them in while your using it.
