Fuel line protection

I kept my '94 1720 Sportsman in a boat slip this season and found that the fuel line leading into the engine often sits in the excess saltwater near the transom (near the squeeze bulb). This is obviously not good for the fuel line. Has anyone else encountered this and what has been done to rectify it?

Re: Fuel line protection

The sun's probably worse for it than the saltwater, just swap it out along with the primer bulb every couple of years and you'll be OK.
