I am new to the forum. Looks like a great source for information.
I have an 89 Johnson VRO 110 Jet pump. It is a strong running motor, starts on the first crank when cold and runs strong. The problem is when after it warms up, it will not idle properly and if I turn it off, it will not start until it sits for a while. Then it starts right up with no problems. Seems to idle OK when cold.
Carb problems? Electrical? I am stumped.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Get an adjustable gap spark tester and set it to 7/16 " open air gap and check the spark when it won't start. This will eliminate either igintion or fuel probs and go from there.
