I need help,I have 3 loose wires on my Mariner 70hp and I'm afraid to do "trial and error" around the ignition box

I bought a used 86 model Mariner 70hp with tilt and trim and I was not the one to take it apart and I have everything where it needs to go except for these 3 wires: the two red wires and the gray wire in the picture

I tried my manual on CD but it was no help, any help from the group would be greatly appreciated...thanks....Todd

They go to your rectifier. The 2 red wires go to the bottom terminal and the gray wire runs your tach and goes to either of the other 2 terminals. Looks like a loose nut on one already.

I hooked them up and will fire it up tomorrow and then winterize it
