Well, if I were buying new I would spend a bit more for e-start.

It depends on your shoulder. My 20 hp can wear me out if the motor is cold after only a couple of pulls (bad shoulder). I wish I had a starter. Electric might be better for resale, too.

You really need to post the $$$ differential...

That said...Electric. Who knows how much cranking time is needed as these motors get older.

The sophistication of these motors greatly outweighs the cost of a starter and some windings.
