This is a guest charger. 15 amp. I tested it out and it works. My question is..Can I leave this on while the boat is in the slip even if it's for a week or more? Do all these charges have a mechanism built in to avoid overcharging? Is there a way I can test the charger to shut off when a full charge is reached? Thanks in advance for all the help.

Re: Battery Charger HELP PIC ATTACHED

Most if not all chargers have a means to reduce output to a "trickle" when the battery voltage reaches a full charge. The pictured charger is a ferro resinant charger which means that as the battery nears a full charge, it slowly reduces its charging rate. It should be safe to leave it plugged in and charging all the time. It should not damage the charger or the battery.

Hope this helps,

Um, that's kind of vague, any more info available, like maybe a model #? The pic is too blurry to read.
Do you have any literature with it?
