1990 Johnson 150 v6 vro replacement

I have a 1990 johnson 150 v6 with a bad fuel pump I have already bypassed the oil pump and pre mix the gas myself is there a replacement fuel pump without the vro or am stuck

You have 2, maybe 3 options. 1. You can replace the pump in kind-probably around $500. 2. You can replace the pump with a factory special (premix version) pump. Looks just like the original pump, but has the oiling side removed. Saves about $ 100. See your dealer. 3. Depending on your block, you may be able to retrofit the inexpensive (early 80's) twin fuel pump system to the powerhead. This installation requires that you have two pump vacuum ports, one for each pump. Check your block for that second port and mounting flanges.

Your block will have the second port for the second pulse line, it'll have a plug in it. If it were mine I'd sure reconsider the choices. Going with a OMS pump sure offers a lot more protection and warning capability than premixing.
