Hi

Could someone help please . I have a VP duoprop out drive 2001 and wish to remove the transome assembly top cover as i suspect i have a seawater leak . The cover has 4 bolts wch i have undone buitt the cover will not come off . I have tried to pry it off but not too hard as i do not want to break it . I have a volvo manual but it only shows covers with 2 bolts ,and no description on how to remove it . So please could someone help.

Cheers Dave

If you have the SX-M transom shield, that is all that is holding it. If you have the SX-MHP transom shield used on the big block engines, there are 2 more bolts inside holding the cover.
