Compression problems

Here's the issue. I have a 2004 Suzuki DF140 with 223 hours. A compression test was done on it, 3 cylinders went to 200 psi and one went to 150 psi. The spark plugs had some rust on them but were only used one season. The back of the cylinder wall on the bad cylinder had some white deposits. I also replaced the impeller, which was in good condition, but had a little engine oil on it and around the plate. The engine runs fine with no over heating. Does this sound like a head gasket or something else. I'm comtemplating on possibly fixing it myself. Any thoughts

Re: Compression problems

was the compression test done on a motor that has been sitting a while, or has the engine been recently run?
This should be moved to the suzi section.

Re: Compression problems

The boat was out a month previously for about 6 hours with no problems. I find the situation a little strange

Re: Compression problems

not strange at all.
its broke. its how I make my living.
its simply time for a leakdown test and find where the cylinder cannot seal then fix the leak and go boating.
or run it till she pukes and buy another.
