I am trying to install a new oil reservoir, I didn't like the round kit because it did not have the sensor in the bottle. So I bought the square one with the braket, and an adpter that goes on the oil vent in the drive. I am thinking of using a stainless hose like the one used for trim cylinders then hook it to a rubber hose into the bottle.

Because I didn't buy the complete kit, I didn't get any instructions on where to mount the bottle, also where to make a hole in the transom. If any body have pictures or instructions for me that will be of great help. thanks

You can mount bottle anywhere on transom; after all, it will be connected by hose. SS trim hose is fine, can run through transom with a stainless clamshell vent & sealer. No real set position on hose hole, just remember drive has to turn and tilt!
