The classic Pitot driven speedometer can often be incorrect by a few MPH. I always thought there was nothing that could be done about it. The Teleflex speedo in my MFG has no adjustments, and can be off by as much as 2-3 MPH of of GPS numbers.
I was surprised to see a new Faria brand pitot speedo has adjustments on the back of the gauge.
So, if your speedo is off, and it is the Faria brand, take a look at the back of the gauge and see if it has an adjustment.
