Re: 2 stroke or 4 stroke
This is not meant as a jab;but if you don't know the difference you should go to the library and check an outboard repair manual.In the front there should be a section dessribing 2 and 4 stroke fundementals.A 2 stroke is lubed by the fuel(gas oil mix) as it passes through the crank case.A 4 stroke is lubed by oil pumped under pressure through the moving parts.Note the many more moving parts in the 4 stroke.
Note the fewer power strokes over the piston cycles of the 4 stroke.
On a 2 stroke there is a power stroke everytime the piston goes to the top.
