Fogging Question 1976 Merc 110

I rebuilt my carb and therefore there is no fuel left it in. I haven't reinstalled it on the motor yet as I just got the flange gasket. Fuel lines are all empty as well.

Question for winterizing - should I reinstall everything, fire it up and fog this way, or leave the fuel system apart and empty of fuel? I'm worried about corrosion in the fuel system but I wouldn't have to worry about fuel problems. I would only get the fogging oil on the cylinders this way...

Any tips from you veterans would be greatly appreciated! This will be my first winterization.

If it's off you can spray through the front as you turn it over. Then into the plug holes.Anything you spray into the carb(WD-40) is gonna gunk up and dry.
Running stabilizer through the system would be what I'd do.
That way it's in the pump and carbs.Don't run the carb dryJ.
