I put a new gasket between my upper gear case and transom housing. It has gasket material covering the o-ring where the water comes through. I put it all back together and started it and shifted forward and reverse. Then wondered why the gasket covered the o-ring. Took it back off and the gasket was gone from the o-ring area. Where did it go and is it going to plug something up? Thanks
