ok guys I have started to restore my 1999 Bennington 2050LX.Mercury 90HP that looks like new. the boat was bought early May from a retired couple who were the original owners and took immaculate care of the boat, after having the boat for a while I had it tied up at a island sand bar where someone hit the side panel and caved it in and no one said anything, Thanks to Safeco insurance I now have new railing on order.

Restoration will be new rear rails, new carpet 24oz Catalina mocha,Power Arm hydraulic Bimini top, 3M graphic wrap custom graphics, upgrade sound system (300 watt amp) 4 8in Rockford fosgate speakers, carb rebuild, clean seats, add a couple gauges, depth finder, under skinning
here are a few before and progress pics... I will post pics of the whole process

That power bimini is really cool, I was back in R&D when they were running one of those and it is pretty slick, just be sure too reinfoce the rail under the lift, that is alot of torque on that part and it will bend if you don't.

It looks like you are almost done with the easy part, putting them back together is always the harder part, good luck.

Looks good! I like the workshop area you have it in. Plenty of room and a nice heater hanging nearby. Sweet!

You just need extra support under the lift arm sionce it genarates so much force, a single tube can't support the weight.

You woudl amosdt need to get it on where it goes to see where you need to reinforce it.

I deleted some messages so my box is open again.

ok carpet removed and the back section of wood removed and will be replaced, was starting to rot in the gas tank and swim platform area

P.S. man the carpet removal was the hardest part of this teardown took 3 hrs to remove and still need to remove glue and some backing of the carpet

Are you having someone apply them or are you going at it yourself?

I worked in a sign shop years ago and really big decals like that are a real bear to work with, might be worth some money to have a local sign shop put them on for you.

the price includes all labor to install the wrap, I wanted NO part of installing them

While I certainly don't disagree with getting a professional to apply the graphics, it can be done if you plan ahead and work slowly.

I applied the graphics to the rear addition in my sig with only a couple of bubbles which I used a pin to pop. And those graphics wrap around curved corners to the rear.
