due to hurricane ivan wiring corroded purchased new stator and wiring harness but some wire colors have changed any help apperciated if i can get wiring diagram may figure out connections any and all help apperciated thanks john

attempted to
replace 3 yrs.ago but just purchased parts and connections do not make sense john

John, What wire colors do you have a question on?

Does that motor have the multicoil (ADI) ignition system? If so, you can use any of the newer Merc motor wiring diaghrams as a reference, and extrapolate to match your motor.

chris thanks i think adi ignition will try to determine color difference how do i get copatible diagram to extrapolate i have spent days on computer trying to get wiring diagram my motor may have 6 hrs. running time had to give up fishing in 1976 trying to start again i am 80+ yrs. old and not very good on this computer so please bear with me thanks very much john carroll pensacola , fl.

John, Go to the maxrules.com web site. Look up the merc wiring diaghrams there. If you have the newer wire colors, get a wiring diaghram from the mid-eighties or newer for the a motor with the same number of cylinders your motor has.

John, just a quick question you gave the model and serial number of your engine and asked for a wiring diagram for that engine and I furnished one that you have completely ignored is it the wrong one or can't you read it? Did I waste my time again? Bob

Laddies, I think he just has the newer wire colors. Do you have a wiring diaghram for those, that will match his motor?

Yes I do, but furnished the first for his serial number and there is no reason to further confuse him if that the case.
