Why? It's best to pull the battery and charge it periodically throughout the winter.

If you mean will it harm the motor, probably not. However, it is not the proper way to treat a battery. A battery that is discharged 50% will freeze at minus 15F. A fully charged battery is good to minus 85F.

So, it would be wise to remove the battery and store it in a protected place and keep it charged.
