Hi...I live on a small island just north of St Martin and am looking for a starter power boat to (a) sail around the coast with my young family and (b) make the odd trip to St Martin (5 miles).
I am looking for an entry level boat (read cheap) so that if (a) I find I do not actually like boating or (b) wreck the boat in the first week - I will not lose to much sleep.
Boats I have looked at so far are Bayliner 160 OB, Bayliner 175, Glastron 175 and Glastron MX 185 - though I am not sure how suitable these boats are for my purposes.
Grateful for any thoughts out there.
