hey guys,

i perchased a 19' cobia with a 130hp about 3 months ago, and im already having problems and need some help... egine runs perfect when idling, and when you give it gas, it seems to bog out. the gas, fuel filters, spark plugs, are all new. i had the carbs cleaned, a friend found that they were really dirty, but issue still occurs. compression was 150 on all plugs. people are telling me its possible fuel pump, but i dont believe so, and would like a little advice. any help would be greatly appreciated....

thanks brian

the last of the 130 yamaha's for the US market was 2003.
most likly trash in the carb, fuel pump replacement should be every 3rd season as a maint item.

Ok Freak

I think I have it.Same motor same problem. Plain boat up, then bogged

down after a

couple of minutes

Today I found a crack in the housing for the fuel filter before the fuel pump

Hope that helps, I order the housing today. I'm surprised the techs didn't

figure that one out the motors are old and it's plastic, I guess they go by the

books

thanks rod, ill be sure to change the fuel pump!

hey silver, the problem occured after i found a pin hole in the fuel line, and replaced with a little bigger line. are you talking about the housing where the fuel line enters the filter in the engine?

Yes

Cleaned and reinstalled the filter, pumped up the bulb, Gas leak at the crack
