Cant find specs in manual

What is the procedure for doing the timming on a 2001 454 mercruiser Mpi starboard motor. I know how to time an engine just need to know if theres a connector that needs to be disconnected or jumped Thanks also where is cylinder # 1 located and rotation of the motor

Assuming you have the OEM service manual #23

Timing specs are on pages 1B-8 thru 1B-10

Firing order on page 1B-11

Timing procedure on page 4B=13

What kind of manual are you working with? owners or repair, cause if it doesn't have timing specs in it and it's a repair, I'd toss it.

Mercruiser Service manual #23 covers GM big block-1998 to 2001. Your info is in that book.
