I'm a first-time owner and I have no idea what the switches on the dash actually control. where can I find this info? I 've been told there is no owner's manual.Thanks.
Shouldn't need a manual to figure out what the knobs buttons and switches do. bilge pump, blower, anchor light, running lights, court lights, horn, that's the basics.
Boats will generally have, at minimum, switches for the horn (momentary contact), bilge pump, engine compartment blower (usually NOT found on outboard boats), and navigation lights (may be one switch or two). There may be one or more accessory switches. The switches for the outdrive tilt/trim may be on the throttle handle or on the instrument panel.
I would think most boats built by '86 would have the switches labeled. Maybe they are faded from baking in the sun or exposure to the elements? Even if they are you can flip off/on to see what does what.
