on testing my charge system today, i was wondering if my rectifier was blown?

my battery has a resting voltage of 12.40 volts

whilst running at tick over approx 1000 revs volts go to 12.47 volts

when at high revs volts go to 12.67 volts

i always thought revs should be around 13-14 volts

ive tested stator and looks like its creating plenty around 16v

any thoughts?

Yes, a standard full wave bridge rectifier will work. Highest current output stator that was used on the Force engines was the Mercury style which was rated at 16 amps (12 pole). The 16 amp stators used a rectifier/regulator. The older stators (20 pole) were rated at about 9 amps and typically just used a straight bridge rectifier. There is a "sticky" at the top of this forum titled "If you have high charge voltage" that has some good information.

When you tested at "high revs" was it the fast idle position (about 2000 rpm) or full throttle (5500 rpm)?
