Howdy,

Well,

Low compression can be from many things including stuck/burnt valves, broken piston or rings, blown head gasket, cracked head.

"poping" in the intake might point to burnt or bent/warped intake valves.

You might do another compression check using a differential pressure (leak-down) check.

This way you can possibly identify where the leaks are.

Either way, you'll probably at the minimum, be removing the head.

Take pictures!

On a 3.0 it will be one (or more) of the following:

Head gasket.
Cracked head.
Cracked block.

The tell is that the 2 center cyls. are low. With luck you can catch it with just a head gasket. Take the head in and have it checked for flatness (deck) and cracks.

Clean the block deck and check with a straight edge too.

Any water in the oil?
