After I removed the rotten plywood transom , I'm trying to prep back end for a new one. I don't notice any stress cracks on the outside gel coat but on the inside fiberglass which was against the plywood has lots of stress cracks. You can also see the wood grain imprinted .
My Question is do I sand the back side down till all the cracks are gone, then put a layer of glass back on ? Like I said I don't notice the cracks from the gel coat side , just the inside. Or when I re-build the transom and glass it back in will that be good ?
