I was fishing this past weekend and I couldn't get my motor to trim down. The trim motor sounded like it was going in slow motion, I was able to bounce it a couple of times and it went down but then it wouldn't trim up. If I have to replace the trim motor my questions are is it something I can do and is there something special I need to do. It looks like the trim and tilt units are together as 3 parts. Can I test something before pulling it out. I recently lost my job and I don't want to take it to a shop and spend big $$$. Thanks in advance

first lift it up manually and check fluid level ,fill it and see how it goes ,there not hard to replace if still no good ,just hard to find a good 2nd hand 1 here in oz under $500.00 so hope you dont have to replace it.
