Folks I have a 70hp Evinrude 70773S with manual tilt and have just got hold of the bracket assembly, motor etc from a power tilt and trim outboard. I am assuming the mechanical bits will be a simple swap but do I need any other parts like tilt, trim sensor? wiring harness or details to make a harness? are there limit switches or does anyone have a detailed drawing showing how it all goes together? The outboard I got the power t&t bracket and motor off has already been stripped so I can,t see how it went together in the first place so any help would be great thanks. BTW I am UK based.

Re: changing from manual to power T&T 70hp Evinrude 1977

Further information: Can anyone please tell me if the swivel bracket and power tilt and trim from either of these models would fit on to a 70hp 70773S?

The two I have access to are a Johston - 70TLCEM (1989) and a Evinrude - 70TLCRD (1984)

I would like to remove the bracket and t&t units and fit them to the 70773S and buy a new drive motor but really need to know if the later bracket and engine mount with power t&t will fit the older engine (or could be made fit?).

The only alternative is to fit a external mount with t&t which for me is costally as I have to import from US to UK.
Anyone?
