I have 2005 19ft cc polar dynasty offshore boat. Fuel gauge is stuck on full.
Should I take sending unit out of the tank to see if maybe it's gumed up or maybe need to replace? Any info would really be appreciated.

Re: Fuel gauge

Disconect the sending unit. If the gauge returns to the E position it is the sender. If it is disconected and still shows full its the guage.

...or the sending unit's wire to the gauge has grounded along the way !!! :)

So, if this is the case, disconnect the wire at the gauge. If the gauge remains at full, yep, bad gauge. If it returns to empty...start tracing the wire.
