1968 3.9HP 2 stroke

I am attempting to hook this motor up to fuel. It appears to have the push twist type connector to the engine, just like my 65HP, however my existing push twist is two large to fit the receiving connector on the motor. Is there a smaller size connector for this application/older model outboard? Thank you for any assistance.

ya, it smaller do it fits past the into the motor. My motor is not like the newer mercs though... it does not have the pin inside the fuel connecter on the motor so I was able to hook my fuel line up to the motor using a hose clamp... hope this helps.
