Trim doesn't go up

My trim worked fine all season.
I was winterizing it yesterday and lowered the trim to run it on muffs.

I got done and went to trim it back up. The trim pump runs, but the drive doesn't come up.
It does the same thing with both the up switch and the trailer switch.

Any ideas?

PS, this is a Merc Alpha 1 on a 4.3l V6

If the sound the pump makes is slow it might be battery connections or low battery. If the pump sounds normal, the most likely place to check is pump fluid level.

Does sound like low fluid, but if you wind up troubleshooting your wiring this may help some. I had a similar problem. My marine mechanic told me the easiest way to remember which of the 2 wires controls the "UP" and the "DOWN" is this:

?You have a green wire and a blue wire? green grass (DOWN) blue sky (UP)?

i had the same problem last month,check wireing ,fluid,battery,mine was just shot all rusted,i cleaned all conn.was the motor i sent mine out to be rebuilt,new motor and slonids 200,works great now if you want to do the same let me know e bay trim motor mike alps linden tenn.he does good work he rebuilds these trim pumps ,hes good at it,good luck
