The motor 82' 90 HP Outboard Johnson.

Motor has been sitting for a few years and I'm tryna get it started. When I turn the key the motor spins and cranks but doesnt start. Not sure what the issue is. I've read that you need compression, spark, and fuel to get the motor running.

I did a compression test and all four cylinders were 100-105 PSI so i think compression is good.

I replaced all the spark plugs but I'm not 100% sure if its getting spark. I tried holding the spark plug with the wire attached to see if there was a spark at the gap but i didnt see anything. How can I check if its getting spark?

I pulled the carbs today and have no clue what to do now. Should I just soak it with carb cleaner? Totally lost with this. It looks pretty good to me. I dont see any gunk or anything. Here are some pics.

The very first thing you need to do before going any further is get ahold of a factory oem manual for your motor. It will give you step by step instructions for your motor and save you money in the long run.

So is compression of 100-105 psi on all four cylinders good?
