Soak a Carb in what?

I am using lacquer thinner. How is that diff from "Carb Dip" chemicals?....will lacquer thinner work?

B-12, which can be found at Auto Zone.

There are many differences.

depends on the laquer thinner -- some are nothing more than acetate and alcohol, others include stronger solvents.

I like B-12, it includes acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, toluene, alcohol and some other stuff thrown in besides.

Only soak the metal parts. If you have plastic float bowls, soak them in seafoam -- it'll take longer but it won't melt 'em.

If you had a gallon of Engine Tuner purchased from any BRP dealer you could put it in a bucket and soak all your parts until they were all clean with out worrying about them. Plactic parts and all. Then wash off with water and blow dry.
